The Alegria Community Center is a multi-use facility that provides space for community parties, meetings and other events. Our community center also has a library and wifi. There is a kitchen for use by residents and event caterers, fitness facility, indoor swimming pool, and locker rooms for resident use.

Personal Training We have a certified trainer who carries insurance to work with you at Alegria in our fitness center. We offer FREE fitness orientations. Please see calendar for those dates. All personal training is arranged directly with the trainer.

Vinyasa Yoga: Mondays at 10:30 a.m. This personalized class is literally designed to accommodate and adapt to all individuals abilities and intentions.There will be customized instruction to guide all. Everyone will be encouraged and guided in choosing their most comfortable level to be proactive within. All yogi's will choose the level which is the best fit for them; be it Chair, Standing , Floor, or any combination thereof. Chair Yoga: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. This class is designed for those who want to do stretching in order to maintain or improve their flexibility but who cannot easily get up from or down to the floor because of various physical limitations. All exercises will be done either sitting in a chair or standing while using the chair for support. The benefits of regular stretching will be numerous including not only increased flexibility but also reduction of stiffness and more ease of movement. We also will learn more beneficial patterns of breathing that will aid in stress reduction, leading to an inward sense of calm. It's never too late to begin a gentle Yoga practice which, when done consistently, will enable us to keep our bodies functioning so that we maintain our mobility and independence as we continue to age.
Zumba Gold: Mondays at 9 a.m., Wednesdays 10 a.m. , Fridays at 9 a.m. Perfect For Active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. How It Works: The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion, and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. Benefits: Class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility, and balance!
PWR! Moves: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Are you looking for a weekly exercise program to help you regain/maintain flexibility, coordination, strength and balance - not too hard, not too easy, but just right for helping you stay active and healthy? Try PWR! Moves. PWR (pronounced 'power') stands for "Parkinson's Wellness Recovery" created by a physical therapist and researcher in a program called PWR4Life.
Not all the Alegria participants have Parkinson's Disease, but all have found the Tuesday morning program in the Bosque Room (yoga/fitness room) beneficial for a multitude of neurological and exercise concern issues.
